    A day in Denver

After 7 months of living here and numerous visits from friends, I’ve picked out a few of my go-to spots to show off Denver. Union Station¬†was remodeled in the early 2000’s to become an amazing Denver spot for drinks, food, coffee, flowers, parties, souvenirs, etc. I’ll go to there just to get out of the house with my laptop and work sometimes. Check out the boujee upstairs bar, the Cooper Lounge, photogenic spot with amazing cocktails.   Avanti – Some of my local friends aren’t huge fans because it is a notoriously touristy spot but with good reason! They have many delicious food stands from poke to burgers with a…

    Skiing for Newbs

I didn’t truly experience snow, aside from a couple trips as a kid to visit the family in Minnesota, until I was 26. I’m writing this as huge flakes of snow are falling and I can’t help but stare in wonderment. It’s so damn beautiful. Which immediately eliminates them from my dating pool…) I digress! As I mentioned in my previous music post, I grew up with my mother blasting her favorite arias (opera pieces) at 7am every Saturday to wake me up. I started singing in choir as soon as I could around 10…

    Bluebird Theatre & Kismet

I truly believe that everything happens for a reason, sometimes things work and sometimes they don’t, but it all serves a purpose in the end. Yesterday I crossed some wires in my brain and confused my dates causing me to either miss my flight to Minneapolis or miss my friend’s show at Bluebird Theatre. Thanks to a lot of persistence, my United gold status, 4 flight changes, and 2 phone calls to customer service, I ended up with the perfect flight allowing me to do both.¬†My friend’s show was very important to me and making sure I upheld my plans with Bobbie was also very important to me. It feels…
